I think we're in the same boat. I've been keeping them for years but I not bred them yet. I think they're beautiful creatures but when you're in college and trying to start a life of your own i can feel weighed down by them... i don't want to get rid of them! But hopefully this spring/summer i will be posting some pics of my new bumblebees and it will all be worth it!

when you guys feel tired and wonder if it is worth taking care of a couple balls......just think of the people with hundreds....and a real job on the side....and the people with thousands...........think....thousands of cages.....clean them all in an hour?.........LOL........

.........have fun.....good luck........

It is alot of work. But once you see those little heads poking out of the eggs you get bitten by the bug even more. The feeding and cleaning of the snakes is the easy part. It`s the cleaning of the rats and mice that i get sick of. I spent 6 hours cleaning and feeding snakes today and all i could think about is which females i`ll be putting in with which males in a few months. Fun stuff.

I only get frazzled when I have all the babies from the years pairings. I always plan to quit breeding each year and just keep my favorite morphs as pets. But then winter comes and I can't wait to get started again. Let's just say I know how Brett Favre felt.

I have more geckos than snakes, and get tired of dealing with all the crickets. The snakes don't bother me at all. I don't breed rats, and cleaning snake cages is what I do to relax and get lost in daydreams.

Imagine if you also had animals that need misted 2-3 times a day, fed every day, and you were lucky to see them once a week because they are always hiding.... darn dartfrogs.
