How Often Does Your Bearded Shed?

Paradon Sep 20, 2008 09:24 PM

Mine just shed a week and half ago, and now, she is shedding again. She's been eating a lot lately...about 30-40 large crickets a day. Today, she ate about 57 crickets. I go through about 500 large in a week now! She putting me in the poor house! LOL How often does your bearded shed?

Growing babies shed a lot. It can sometimes be almost continuous until they are mostly full grown. Her eating will slow down then too. I have 5 in solid brumation that don't eat anything right now.

for the first year, bearded dragons shed quite often, with a good steady diet of all they can eat crickets and greens several times a day, with proper heat and lighting etc. they could have some part of their body shedding all the time.

Don't worry about how often babies shed while growing...having the full body shed two or three times a month is normal for a fast growing baby.
