I never get tired of hatching these guys. They hatch out so large and are so calm from day one. They also hatch out pretty dark as well. 11 out so far, 3 more to go. The moose pulled through again for me this year.

Thanks Doug. These guys are always a pleasure to play with after they hatch out.
HOw are your projects coming this year?
Coming along well, buddy!
The several clutches I had this year were a 100% hatch-rate.
Next year will be VERY good for me, with lots of different morphs!, as well as other cool normal phenotype stuff!

Wow! They're beautiful! I really like the one with the band that looks like a J. (on the far left in the group shot)
So i'm guessing that they all came out of the egg today, then? I'm excited to get one!
I never realized they were so docile even from birth. That's also really excellent!
I just wanted to tell you that you've made my week! (I had a bad day yesterday, so this makes it all better.
)
Awesome! can't wait to get me one!
Thanks...the long wait was worth it!
Yes it is worth the wait. I will be waiting to hear from you.
Suzanne,
Sorry you had a bad day, but glad I was able to help! It sure made me happy to see these guys crawling around the egg box the other day. Talk with you soon.
very nice,do they retain any bands at all as adults ? What country are they from? Aren't these the ones that are all decended from one pair that was in some texas zoo ?

Hey Doug,
My animals turn jet black as adults but on rare occaisions, I have seen some animals in the hobby that have faint banding on them as adults. They're from Costa Rica. There were some imported that went to the San Antonio Zoo in Tx and some imported to a Zoo in FL. Many of the blacks people work with came from that original group of 7 that come to the San Antonio Zoo and some people work with animals that came from the group that went to the FL zoo. This is what I have been told from a reputable source. Shannon Brown has a fresh bloodline of recent imports I believe.
Great looking little wrigglers, Dave! Those are fantasic!
