Not so LUCKY this time....

Last year I bred a 100% het genetic stripe male to a poss het female and she had a clutch of 6 which produced 4 visual GS's. Great odds from a het X het breeding, eh? This year I bred the same het pair together and got a clutch of 7 with NO visuals!

I guess you never know with the odds on these small clutches, but I do have a couple more clutches from unproven poss het females yet to hatch, so we'll see what happens.

Here's a couple pics of a pair of genetic stripes that I held back from that clutch last year. This pair is still not a year old yet.

I love the stripes you produced last year--beautiful. Keep trying, I hope you produce many more stripes.

Shane,

That really sucks but at least it happen this year and not last year so you know for sure she is a het. If it would have been the case last year you would have had your doutes about being a het. Hopefully you will have better odds on your other clutches.
