should I be worried that my 7" long Sav just ate a fair amount of mulch along with the cricket it was dealing with? I'm having trouble picturing how she could pass this stuff.
thanks,
Chris

Worrying wont do you any good, because even if it was not able to be passed your not going to go into a 7" lizard and get it out. Also keep in mind the animal is not dumb, it has the ability to regurgitate.
I would say you will be fine as long as you proivde adequate husbandry, allow the lizard the heat it needs for its digestive system to just move it along. My water would eat mulch by accident sometimes, never a big deal. My ackies eat dirt here and there that they get on their food, same thing happens in the wild.
You'll have some larger obstacles down the road than this, the occasional intake of substrate by accident I would assume is normal (because it is with my animals here and there).
Goodluck,
Mike.
Try some plain old dirt for your substrate.
