Small Eggs, Big Odds

daktaari Sep 22, 2008 09:06 PM

In early August I posted a concern I had for a Super Cinnamon clutch--the eggs were very small. A week ago I candeled the four eggs to find four Cinnamons. Bummer. The Clutch pipped Saturday morning and I find four Pewters?

I put a Pastel male with my Cinnamon (1 lock up 3 weeks prior to ovulation) when I discovered my hopes for Pewters out of a Pastel female were dashed with the arrival of six beautiful, but infertile eggs.

Best odds on any clutch I've had. So far 2.1.1.

Michael, those are very nice Pewters! Some of the best I've seen. Congrats!

Wow, I wish I had some of that luck this year. I had 13 eggs from 2 different black pastel x pastel clutches only to get 0 pewters. Got a few black pastels and pastels though. Maybe next year.

Congrats on the great odds!

The result is 3.1 at 40-41g each.

I've had my shair of bad luck this season, but no complaints now...
