Hey all I'm new to dragons and if you've kept up with my last few post I have a good update! My girl after vomitting has been much more active and has been eating. I gave a fecal to the vet and he told me there was nothing to worry about or worth the stress of giving medicating since she is in a new environment. What I have noticed is she does not freely eat crickets around the cage. She only charges after the very FIRST cricket I put in. If I add them one at a time she'll eat like 3 and then ignore them. If I add like 5-10 at once she'll ignore all of them. If I add one at a time until she stops chasing them and then add a few more she doesnt eat them. She does not like eating in a separate container, she freaks out and ignores the crickets. She also doesnt respond if I wake a cricket in front of her. I generally leave about 3-4 crickets in the cage at a time (I take them out before she goes to bed) and I see her every now and then chomp on a cricket that passes by her. She only ends up eating about a dozen crickets a day, maybe a bite of salad, but from what I read she should be eating like 30-50 crickets a day at her size/age (she is 3 inches SVL). The crickets are 2 weeks old so they are tiny. Is there any tips you can give me to get her to start actively hunting and being agressive while eating? Her basking temps are at 108-110 and I she spends alot of time under it (I find her mouth open every now and then because she sits there too long). The other parts of her cage is around 80-86.
