Thanks, Tim!,...yes, what's funny is the fact that they grew significantly in size since they were first laid, and not from too much moisture either. The eggs originally were on the thin, long side, and were laid by a very small female anerythristic. I was also amazed at the actual growth of the eggs during the incubation period.
This pretty much reinforces the fact that small females will often lay longer, but thinner eggs due to the obvious smaller diameter of their body(and cloaca), but the extra length of the egg compensates for what it originally lacked in diameter, and allows the embryo's to swell some to go onto be very good sized neonates. In other words, basically a normal volumed egg, only very elongated. I was still quite amazed at how much the eggs swelled to allow for very large, robust hatchlings!
