controlling odors in rat rooms??

what does everyone use to control odors? i have a small room and can not put a window in. theres a fire proof door so i keep it craked open all the time a crack and than i have a screen door inside so nothing from outside comes in also have a small fan on 10 hours a day blowing into a small duct that goes to the roof? just looking some new ideas if anyone can share greatly appreciate any help!

Try using a bedding called cell-sorb, Im not sure if Im spelling it correctly or not. You will pay quite a bit more for it han any other bedding but the few extra buck are worth is. Also I use an automatic air freshener that goes off every half hour. I hope this helps

Clean your rats more often. I found that when I increased my full cage cleanings from once to twice a week, the smell all but disappeared. Clean = less stinky.

I use eagle valley pelleted substrate (I think equine fresh is better, but local supplier chaged product) and add baking soda, wally world cheap brand is about 50 cents per lb. Also don't over crowd cages.
