giving your boa a bath...

How do you guys clean your boas when they have crap and urine all over them? I was thinking of soaking them in a mild solution of dawn dish soap (unscented). Would this be fine for their health?

I would not use soap, Simply put it in a plastic tub with warm (80 degree-ish) water. ptu the lid on and let it squirm around for a few minutes. Most should come off pretty quickly. Change out the water and repeat until the water stays clean.

The Chlorihexidine Solution we use to clean cages is sprayed directly on the animal and wiped dry with paper towels
Never use soap for any reason on a boa, depleting the oils in their skin is asking for issues.
Plain water does not "clean".

I've used light dish soap(Dawn) with Boas. Its also an older and suggested treatment for snake mites. The soap bubbles don't allow mites to attach to an air bubble in the water. Allowing more thorough drowning of mites. I've never read of any adverse affects to Boas from soap.
Just straight water will work fine as Dave suggested as well though.
