Any guesses on when Albino Retic prices will come down? I was

thinking with the normally larger clutches associated with the retics we would see a considerable drop in the price of babies. They seem to be sticking at the $2,000 range. I was wondering what people in the know think they may go for in the next big round of breeding and when anyone thinks they may be in the $500 - $1,000 range per baby? Just wondering! Thanks.

This is only their 5th year of availability. Also, very few breeders have bred albino X albino, which is going to produce the most significant numbers of albino animals. Also as long as they are popular, their value will remain high.

I personally want them to drop as little as possible, I've made my investment, go ahead and make yours.

Well, they seem to have been dropping at approximately 500 per year for the last few years. If this trend continues they may be 500 to 1000 in two to three years. But it's really almost impossible to predict with any certainty. Like Jeff (Nephrus) I have a lot of money tied up in them and I too hope they remain high for some time. But if it goes down there is nothing any of us can do about it.

True "power" is not to be found in social or economic placement or stature, which are merely illusory, finite, frail and brief.
True power is to be found in one's sheer will and personal determination to achieve one's goals at ANY cost and at ANY sacrifice.

I cant see the price of Albino Tic'splummeting like Albino Burmeses did. I can see them coming down a little every year though. One reason I think is because breeders can grade albino tics on color pattern and scheme on a greater scale then they can say with burms. Theres white albino, lavender albino, and purple phase albinos. Where as with with burms there isnt that great of a color variation. For example ive seen pics of B Smith's screaming lavender male and his although i hate to admit blows my male clear out of the water. Secondly, I know Retics although they have large clutches seem to have off years more often then the Burmese.

Bottom Line I cant see albino retics dropping below 1,000 within the next 3 years.

In advance im sorry for the rant and spelling and sentence structural problems. Don't Blame Me Blame the fine people at Coor's for making such a delicious Beer

When I bought my first albino retics two years ago they were going for $3,500 and now the going rate is $2,000. I think the price will be down to $1,000 within two years but I don't expect them to go much lower than that but who can sat for sure? Albino retics can't be compared with albino boas that have been holding their own at or around the $1,000 mark. One reason is many areas are banning large snakes such as retics altogether and an albino retic isn't the key to making different morphs such as sunglow and snow, Right now I think the future will be the tiger, super tiger, and dwarf albino retics. These will make the "normal" albinos obsolete IMHO thus dropping the price. I wish I was wrong because like so many others I have a lot of money invested in them.
