That gives me an idea. It is flooding like this that may help a snake to disperse from one side of the river to another. Normally, a snake may not cross a river voluntarily since it would be outside of its home range. But if it is flushed out of its hiding place by water or a rockslide and flood, then it may end up on the other side of the river whether it likes it or not.
