I was wondering if anyone knew the best escape-proof cricket keeping system was? I have that "KritterKeeper" Cricket keeper, a small one for now as my babies are on small crickets and I can fit well over seventy in there without any crowding issues. But, I have had one or two get out that I've been able to catch or kill before my cricket-phobic mother found them. There could be more, and I like to keep the peace. So...any suggestions?

Bigger Keeper, possibly with vaseline around the top. But if it is less than a foot deep they will jump to the lid and work their way out. If they are anything but smalls they won't get out of the cracks. I would keep that few in a 5 gal bucket, no lid. Nothing to grab, room to stack some egg crate cover.

I've got about 100 in an old 5.5 gal terrarium with a locking top, and I've never had a problem. Unless they jump of my hand when Im grabbing them.
