Herps Active??

I know noone wants to talk specifics anymore due to the crazy Texas regulations, but is anyone willing to talk in general terms about what is or is not moving in West Texas with all the rain there? Are cealanops crawling into people's cars to get out of the rain? Are Natrix now dwelling in Study Butte? Just curious. I wish I could be there! --HW

lizards are everywhere, in fact i will post a invite for everyone to come down (Kermit TX area) and catch as many of the fence lizards they want for feeders/scenting items here in a bit....lets see the good old stand by Atrox are all over, the Viridis are running about, and of course all the baby Pituophus, Emoryi, and and of course the gloossy and long nose, havent seen any milk snakes at the moment, been alot of rain grass is better than waist high, lots of places to hide, tons of food items, next year will be one heck of a good herp year. I would also like to add that i am EXCITED about all the flooding and avalanchs that have happend on River Road and throughout the region down there....the changes in topography will mean the opening up and changeing of habitat, i think it will be good herping in about 2 years from now, after the cuts, and dirt hills recover and green out.

Reguards,
