Crotalus lepidus babies

SalS Sep 25, 2008 07:21 PM

I know its not some exotic asian tree viper, but I still think its pretty cool. My C. l. lepidus had seven babies the other day. I didn't see any slugs, but don't know if she ate them or not. I'll get better pictures of the babies after they shed. The all went opaque the day after they were born. Here you can see two of them with the mother.

I think it is pretty cool too. Congratulations. I like them better than tree vipers. Mom looks relieved.

That's a nice size litter. My female only drops 2-3. They typically take pinks pretty well. Good luck!
