Hello all -

I have had some questions come up from reading through some of the threads below.

1) What do the majority of you use as substrates for your alterna?

2) For those of you using lizards as feeders on a regular basis, do you have any kind of anti-parasitic regimen or do you only treat if something manifests itself? Damon and Gerold especially come to mind from the threads below. I ask this for a couple of reasons. It seems some folks are having better luck with egg fertility and hatch rates when they at least supplement lizards into a diet. I have an endless supply of brown anoles around my house. You can see where this is going... Do you all feel there would be merit in feeding a mixed diet as opposed to a rodent only diet?

3) Do most of you use vermiculite as a hatching medium, if so do you tend toward the dryer side or wetter side? What would you consider the maximum temp you would incubate at?

4) How much do you allow your adult animals to eat and how often? In my experience kings (my GBKs included) are pigs and will eat anytime you let them.

Just trying to get some input on these subjects. Thanks for participating.
