Not your average Tangerines

exposito Sep 26, 2008 01:31 PM

This clutch of Tangerines has a distinct look to it.

Those are indeed "dreamy." The lack of black flecking is sweet. It's not very often that you see non-hypos with black bands that are that thin. Are those het for hypo? I've seen some hets that are quite clean, but not very many "straight up" tangerines which look like that.

Hey Tim,

I have been corrected. Those are just...if you can say just, tangerine hondos. Joe can tell the story. I remember when the only cool Hondos readily available were the Love's Tangerine Dreams, now the skies the limit.

Thanx

These are the result of breeding one of Marc's Aberrant males and one of Norm's Aberrant females, so time will tell as to whether they are Double Het for each of the Aberrant traits or if this is only a line bred thing. Either way they did produce some great looking Tangerines, that we are pretty happy with. Thanks for the kind words.

Hey Joe,

Those are beauties! I believe those are hypos. What I think you are referring to was possibly the banding arrangement. Without having one of my Hypos in front of me it's hard to tell. They look very uniform and thin.

Congrats

Scott

Very nice Joe! I really like that look in a Honduran .. they have that classic look that is lacking in a lot of the hondurans which are produced these days. Very clean and sharp!

Hi Randy,

They kind of remind me of that stuff you have produced from that Vanishing Hypo. See you in November.
