Leo Eggs

Ok I came home from work and one of my females gave me a nice treat.. there was a egg in the cage. i put some moss in a rubbermaid tube, but the thing that worry's me is the egg since i put it in the moss, which is damp and not wet started to collapse? is this normal? is the egg lost? what should I do? Thanks for the help

Leos normally lay in pairs. However, to answer your question, it sounds like it is drying out. Try putting it in vermiculite instead. And, if it looks like it's still a little shriveled, you can lay a damp paper towel over it to help it plump back up.

Thanks for the advice, I went out today and got some Sure-hatch, so after it gets to the right temp Im going to transfer the egg to the new container. I also know that the egg is fertile cause i can see the veins. It is starting to look a little better again thanks for the help!
