Steve that is very nice looking. I would love to see a picture of it when it wasn’t all balled up like that. LOL I am guessing it is a Crystal of some type just because it so closely resembles a Crystal Mojave. Maybe a Crystal Het Red just because they have that black backed appearance. Whatever it is congrats on a killer animal.

Anthony McCain sent me private messages thinking I bred a Lesser or Mojave to a Mystic or new type of weird Phantom.

I asked Tom Baker and he said it reminds him of what a Pastel Lesser Cystal might look like.

I asked Brian Barcyk if he had anything similar to the Energy and he replied saying he doesn't have anything like it.

Does anyone have photos they can share of of what hatchling Crystals? It's been awhile since I seen any and would like to comare it to the Energy.

Thanks

Actually Steve I didn't say Lesser I said Lesser complex .. I believe Mystic x Lesser would make another all white BEL since I feel Mystic is a "lesser complex" morph, we already know Lesser x Phantom or Lesser x Mojave makes a all white BEL so that is why I say this..

A more accurate way to describe what I was trying to tell you is that I would not be surprised if Phantom (likely Mystic as well) bred to the now proven, independant new lesser complex gene (proven based on Tom Baker's Supers he made this summer) which Tom refers to as the "Special" gene could make something that looks alot like your Energy Ball.. Also we have no idea (yet) what happens when you breed Phantom (likely Mystic as well) to Mojave , it may not just be an all white snake, the cross may surprise us.. This is what I was trying to tell you.. Hope I made more sence to you now. Anthony McCain..

Ps if you would just state if you used a Mojave in any way that would make it alot easier to tell what is going on.. The purpose of the forum afterall is to actually learn things , not just have people guessing what is going on.. I am not asking you to post pics of the parents as I wouldn't do that either but there is no harm in sharing with others if you did use a common morph such as a Mojave or not.. I told people immediately I used a Yb to make my first snake I called a Cyclone (I named it that as mine was a little different from Jarods Super Stripe and my mom looked NOTHING like Jarods mom of his SS's) . I didn't say much about the mom of my new project either early on but I at least told people what the common morph was.. Hope you see my point!

Anthony,

I went back re-read what you said and the reply I sent you that the recipe you tried guessing was wrong but I'm sure you'll make something interesting but it's not going to be an Energy. I'm still not going to disclose what I done to make the Energy, that would be just plain foolish. Good luck with your breeding season and let us know what you produce in those breedings.

Thanks,
Steve

you state that it would be foolish for you to disclose what is used to make this morph (combo or super). My question is how? Is the economy strong enough that you think you will make a load of money on a new combo? I dont' think so. Also if the animals used are common or at least one is, which is how i see it as that would be the only reason someone wouldn't disclose what is in an animal, how do you or anyone else think people are going to be willing to fork down multiple thousands of dollars on this animal? This is even more compounded if it is a combo and a combo of 2 or even 3 common co-dom animals. What the heck, i guess that is all i have to rant over this topic. IF YOU ARE GOING TO SHOW OFF AN ANIMAL, TELL WHAT IT IS!!!!!

regardless if this is the case, there are no more get rich snakes out there anymore. Alot of people are caught up in the pre-2004 mentality, every new morph or new combo isn't going to take off. I can understand if this is his only combo animal and he would like to get more before the masses start to produce them (then don't show it just yet), but people now-a-days go a little crazy with the early marketing of a project. I know i'm not the only one who feels this way, until you are able to explain the genetics fully behind a morph, keep it to yourself and if you don't want to be critisized about not giving out ingredients for a morph/combo, don't show it because plain and simple you will get reamed about both, lol.

now with that said, i hope i have the ingredients of this animal in my collection because it rocks, lol.

I am sorry Josh but I disagree with you on this. It is one thing to produce something and make a big announcement about it and then not show it (Pied Super Cinnamon) but entirely different to make a new morph show it off and then keep the ingredients to yourself. If your keep it to your self it is going to be kind of hard claiming you are the first to produce it after someone else announces it. As far as keeping the ingredients to yourself goes there can be many reasons for this. One of the animals in the equation might be subtle in looks and you want to make sure you can identify it. Another thing might be you want to have more of them to sell (either the ingredients or the actual morph) before every body and their brother is making them. It also may be something different that you are not sure about and want to prove with out a doubt. There are a lot more reasons to keep it quiet than there are to announce what it is. LOL If I produced it I wouldn’t tell any one right away.

It does look like what you would picture a crystal hra as...that's wild...but for all i know it's a desert het clown or some other odd resulting type combo.

Nice animal!

Well Im not here trying to ruffle any feathers but man I cant believe the underline hating (or jealousy they usually go hand in hand)going on in here. I mean dont get me wrong Im jealous as hell and would love to know what the ingredients are but to bust Steves stones because he doesnt want to reveal what it takes to make this animal is wrong in my opinion. Now as someone else said he should have produced more another season to see if this was genetic or if it was a fluke. I have had animals die in the egg before coloring up but being fully formed in every other way look EXACTLY the same. But hey whats wrong with trying to pump up your own project. Just my humble opinion
