albino ball pricing rundown

brick1 Sep 28, 2008 04:39 PM

just been wondering, what the price rundown of albino balls has been. Can anyone write down, roughly what they went for, when first offered. And a rough guide for the prices as they years went by? Just a query, but have been wondering, surely some of you old timers will know.
Cheers

Albinos were $7,500 for the first few years they were available. Then the price jumped to $10,000 for males. I remember a certain "Big Breeder" was buying as many albinos he could find for $10,000.

He first imported the Albino in the 90's. I can't remember the first asking price but it was high.

yeah cheers for the comments, i was more interested in how the pricing had come down over the years. ie there seems to have been so much money invested by people in balls, with the albino still fetching an ok price. can anyone say it was this much in this year, this much in that year, and that kind of breakdown? as i said just interested. Get carried away reading some articles and you just want to know more about it all. Fascinating stuff

cheers for the help

I paid 5K for mine in the late '90s. Overall, I think they have held their value pretty well.
