Me too!
Not only do you have the problems of what bacteria and yeast one may have that is normal to it, it may be deadly to the other species, But they would not choose to be that way in their natural habitat.
One may see the other as a nice snack one day, and lizards are fairly territorial, they don't usually want company. You can house some girls together. But never males.
The only lizards that we have found that co-exist together with no problem are house geckos and brown anoles, they are out at different times and totally ignore each other.
claims to house beardies with blue tongue skinks. I personally don't know if that's possible or even a good idea. Makes you wonder where they got that idea from in the first place.

I've been Researching Blue Tongues. They need High Humidity..... Beardies, Being Desert Lizards, Don't need Humidity.... How is this person housing them together???? They have different needs!

2.0 Iguanas, 2.1 Beardies, 0.2 Saharan/Nigerian Uromastyx, 0.0.1 Leo, 0.0.1 African Fat Tail, 1.0 Columbian Rainbow Boa, 0.0.1 Fla Garter Snake, 0.3 eastern garters (plus 24 babies!!!!), 0.0.1 Banded California King Snake (M.I.A.), 0.0.1 Corn Snake, 0.0.3 Fire Belly Toads, 1.0 Eastern Painted Turtle, 0.0.1 African Sideneck, 2 Horses, 4 cats, 1 dog, and I'm still not done.....
Before that was mentioned I had a pretty good feeling about their breeding process. It's also the same breeder that I had purchased a MHD from and it died about 15 minutes after I left the show. He was reluctant to refund my money because he felt like it was somehow my fault.
The bad thing about it all is, the breeder is really close to me and I had spoken to them about buying some leopard geckos later in the year. That's all changed now.

You can house just about any other reptile you like with it as long as your enclosure is big enough. About an acre should do it but then there is still no guarantee they wont run into each other and then you would have a problem.
Even housing beardies together can sometimes be a problem. There are dominant animals that will intimidate the others, males that try to breed the females all the time causing problems for both...
Your question is really a good question, as many people don't ask. They just throw different animals together. My rule is doing mix species - EVER. It's not worth the risk to the animals.
When you introduce new animals together, make sure they both have a clean bill of health, that they are not both males, that one does not intimidate the other or try to eat it and that they get along. Supervision! You may even want to introduce them slowly, a little at a time if they are older animals.
Good luck
