I would like to obtain a mojave, pinstripe and black pastel - but would like some advice, recommedations, opinions, etc. on which, a M or F, would be the best to maximize breeding potential down the road. To date, I haven't produced any clutches; all my BP's are still young. I currently have the following:
1.2 Normal
1.0 Pastel
1.1 Het Albino
0.1 Spider
All replies and advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

I would get all females, but if you've never bred before you may want to reconsider before spending all your money. Buy an adult female and try your hand at breeding first. Breeding can be frustrating at times, but very rewarding too!! Good luck!

I would.....get rid of the normal male. Get rid of the het albino male. Buy an albino male and female mojave, pinstripe and black pastels. Practice with your pastel and spider males on the normal girls and you'll have some experience by the time all the other girls are up to size. Just remember to work towards something you're going to like.

Better yet, breed your pastel male to your normal and spider girls. Sorry, I read that wrong.

My suggestion is go out and buy a big normal female that will breed for you this year, if you need any I have some I can part with pretty cheap, and feed your pastel male pretty heavy over the winter and try them out for the first year and see how you feel about it. If you like it continue on and learn just how addicting it becomes. A pastel clutch is a good first clutch and its a lot of fun.
