I had a female 3 weeks ago lay 6 eggs of which only 1 was good. She had not been with a male in over a year....that was june 07 paired with a male pastel, spider, and mojave....yea...it happens...sperm retention!

One of mine really threw me a curve this year.

Everything looked like it was going well.She had her pre-ov shed(5-9).She glowed,swelled into ov(6-21),then had her post-ov shed(7-5)..A month later i expected to see eggs,but no,she shed again!(on 8-3)

So i had just assumed what i thought to have been ovulation was just "building"..Which meant that she should lay them around 9-1 or so.//right?...nope...On 8-11 i was checking her water, and sure enough. There they were..4 good eggs and 1 slug.

So she had shed, and then layed eggs 5 to 7 days later.

Sometimes they don't play by the rules..lol
