Unknown problem

I am finding small orangish dots or specs in the bottom of the water dishes in my collection. I am going to use PAM just in case but I was told this was not mites. I was told you could see mites moving on the snake and in the enclosure and that they were black or dark red.

Does anyone know what this could be?

Also two of my gbks have gone off food, but all the others are doing fine. Is this like anything someone has heard of.

Without seeing this I'm guessing possibly mildew.

It is new aspen substrate. And I bleach solutioned all the tubs recently. If this helps with any further advice that anyone can hopefully give me.
