The father of this clutch is an Enchi Ball.
Any guesses on the mother?

The father of this clutch is an Enchi Ball.
Any guesses on the mother?
Super Pastel
Good guess, but no. There is no Pastel in this combination.
This is a Enchi X Pastel and an Enchi for comparison.
Look at the interesting head pattern on the Enchi Pastel on the left.
My guess is spider..Looks like a stinger.....yes.....no?
Good guess. Not quite it, however. No Spider in this breeding.
A Stinger Bee has a similar look to a Spider but with a reduced pattern and lighter overall appearance.
Here's a baby Stinger Bee.

Casey Lazik Reptiles
Looking at the pattern of it I am going to guess Woma. Whatever it is I like it a lot Corey. Congrats!

fire enchi?
Sorry Casey, I was thinking Casey and wrote Corey for some reason. I hope it’s not a senior moment. LOL Any way after going to your site and seeing The Lazik Tiger I am going to change to that.

Looks like an Enchi X Fire or Enchi X Mojave.
Very Nice combo Casey!
Eric Baker
I'm going to agree with Albey looks like there is Woma in there -- but my back up guess would be desert
Very nice whatever it is.

JET Pythons

No Tosha it can’t be a Desert cross. The Desert / Enchi is the Tiger and it doesn’t have that head pattern.

Enchi x Russo het. Lucy
There have been some great guesses here. Thanks for playing along.
I look at these babies and keep thinking, "Are you sure there's no Fire in there?"
No, mom's not a Fire.
She's not a Woma either- and, no worries, Albey
.
No Russo, no Mojave, and mom's not a desert ball or one of my Tigers either.
Should I spoil it now?
Casey Lazik Reptiles
No, please don't tell what the ingredients are, that McNerdy boy might competing with you afterwards
hypo by chance?
I know the hypo gene shouldn't have an influence on their heterozygous offspring but some of the hets and crosses I have been producing have me wondering........and some of the stuff I have produced over the past couple years reminds me of your neat enchi stuff.
Either way...great snakes Casey.
Joe Compel Reptiles
Hey Joe,
That's an interesting observation. The mystery female I bred the male Enchi to is not a ghost or a het, however. Thanks for the compliments!
Casey
is mom a Tiger

Mojave,Lesser, or Fire.....whatever it is congrats.
Lance
Casey, I notice the head on that one is pretty jacked up.. Did you breed an Enchi to a Clown? That head pattern on the one reminds me alot of something Clown genetics might kick out? Anthony McCain....
Anthony,
Good guess but the babies are not from an Enchi to a Clown breeding. Interesting combo potential though. Thanks.
Casey
Normal..

What I think is Enchi x Vanilla
I think I want to try every one of these combinations with an Enchi! The female is not a Vanilla or a Lesser or a Normal. I think the Enchi X Lesser has been done, if I'm not mistaken.
How about a blac bellie

Hey Chad,
I'm pretty sure Matt Lerer of Ghi Reptiles produced at least one Lesser X Enchi in August. That doesn't mean you can't show yours off! Love to see a photo.

Hey Casey
Are those babies from an Enchi x Enchi breeding?
Chris
I would guess either a genetic banded/reduced or possibly a calico that only hit on the one baby.
Bruce Delles c/o Twin Cities Reptiles
Thanks Bruce. Not sure what's going on with the female.
I wouldn't have expected this pair's babies to look like they do.
Hi Chris,
Your guess was the closet yet.
See below. Thanks for playing along.

She does but where's her mustache? Also, her babies don't look like Enchi Balls or Super Enchi Balls.
Here is the young male's head.
I don't know...

Casey Lazik Reptiles
het hypo...lol.
I am going to send you some pics that might make you wonder.
Good stuff. I really like the head pattern on that enchi by the way!
Joe Compel Reptiles
only a few of my hets and hypo crosses have come out looking unique. It makes me wonder if there is something else buried in one of my founding hypos.
Anyway, enough about my projects that take a million years to unfold, what else do you know about your dam? An imported animal? Has she bred for you before?
Joe Compel Reptiles
I know I have too many ball pythons on the shelf!
I acquired the adult female as a juvenile 2 years ago as captive-bred baby Enchi. Whether it was picked out of a bin or produced with something else hidden, I don't know. Being only two years old now, this was her first year producing. She laid 4 fertile eggs and two infertile ova.
Here is the father of the clutch. A typical Enchi.
Casey

Joe,
I think I know what you mean.
I bred my male "Tiger" to a couple of het Hypos. My Tiger is a het Hypo himself. Now I have a number of funny looking ball pythons that I don't know what to do with. They don't look like normals or Tigers and they are only possible het to top it off.
Light mid-dorsal area, interesting pattern on snout, and check out those random spots on the head. Funny, most of the siblings to this ball python also had those light areas in patches on top of the head.
Casey
but that is a sweet snake. Crazy pattern on the nose...definitely out of the ordinary. Good stuff...so you are calling them tigers?
Ever do tiger to tiger?
My "odd" het hypos don't look like that....but I do hear you about holding onto weird snakes without knowing what to do with them. I have been producing hypos for years now. I am at the point where I should be parting with adult het females and replacing them with straight hypos but this season I found myself holding back het hypo males. Het hypo males...argh!
Joe Compel Reptiles
She was sold to me as an Enchi a couple of years ago when she was a baby. After feeding her for a year and producing a number of my own Enchi Balls, I realized this female is a bit different. For one, she does not have the light "mustache" that is seen in the Enchi. She's not exactly my prettiest ball python either.
I was a bit surprised on how things turned out here. Although the one little guy doesn't look like a Super Enchi, he is unusual and different from his three sisters. His sisters have a different look to them too. Not exactly Enchi-like or like their mom. They all have the light mustache of their father but have a sort of Fire-like look to them. What's in a name, anyway?

Whatever she turns out to be, the babies are gorgeous!
