I am new to breeding Boas I wanted to know the ratio of success for those that house their boas together year round compared to those that house them separately and place them together when they feel the time is right.

Keeping Boas in general should be one per cage. I can't think of any reason to keep them together. If its a space issue, then they shouldn't be breeding. Babies should also be kept in individual enclosures.

I don`t have experience whit breeding.
But I do know that there are many people who house their boa`s in 1 cage (mostly a male and female ore 1 male and 2 famela`s) whole year around. And they breed.....
And if they don`t somtimes 1 month not together in a cool down periode wil make them ready to breed.
Sorry for my english!
I don't house my boas together anymore, but I used to. I did it because the female had a HUGE cage and the male had a smaller cage.
I ended up with 2 healthy litters, 2 years in a row. I decided it was best to seperate them, so the female would stop having babies.
Now I house my boas seperately. I guess either way will work, but I prefer to keep them seperate until breeding season. It's just easier to give the females a "year off" if I don't want them to breed.
BTW it's breeding season "NOW". At least, it's breeding season where I am. My boas have been going at it since early Sept.
