Those are getting some nice color to them. They are a good illustration of how the males of this species usually show more orange coloration than the females. Beautiful snakes. My 08 male bairdi has just started refusing food. Has this ever happened to yours? It's frustrating, every time I get one snake in my collection back on track, another one gives me worries.

Yeah, I noticed the very distinct color shift that you talk about between males and females.
My male has recently gotten to be a less-than-great feeder, but when I give him live food, he eats every time without hesitation.
I think it might be a "autumn thing" that males go through.

They were produced by Vivid Reptiles, and are the "Metallic Rat Snakes" that they sell from time to time in the classifieds.

That would make them eastern range animals. If memory serves the VR line is from Bandera Co TX.

HI Tim

I dig how they have silver colors with orange too.

Sweet animal.

The look of the female is Val Verde Co. to me. I could be wrong though, it happen quite a bit. Either way they are gorgious.
