We have been discharged from the hosptial and are FINALLY HOME!
We were supposed to have a follow up visit tomarrow- but when I called to schedual- they are overbooked at the clinic and only do post-surgery follow ups on thursday-- so I don't know if they will have us wait a week or come in a different day...
They haven't checked her eye again-- waiting for the swelling to go down. I did some research on my own and found out that the pupils being dialated like that can be caused from swelling in the brain-- only the one eye is swollen but it is swollen shut so that could be why its dialated-- BUT it should still react to light- and it doesn't-- I haven't dared to pull it open myself to check it but I'll be calling the opthalmologist tomarrow as well.
She's not nearly as swollen as she was but its still pretty bad... I'll post some pics from last thursday-- and I'll get some new pictures tommarrow after she wakes up.
She is walking (running) and doing ok. She runs into things-- we had to push our chaize lounge against the wall- she kept falling over the end of it-- (we already dont have a cofee table b/c of her- lol so no worry about that)... she's been spending her days with grandma-- I've got a 3 year old boy and he is rather rough and if she falls or gets bonked in the head - it will tear her sutures- so she's off on quarantine for a while until she heals up more and can be a kid again...
Here's some pics and I'll get new ones asap!
