opossums in the rodent shed

jayfischerherps Oct 01, 2008 07:46 PM

At least they prefer the dog food over the mazuri. Cute little buggers. They have been around most of the week , then one day they were gone, and we wondered why. I have yet to get a pic but now we have a bobcat, and the opossums are gone.
Fun, Fun in the rodent shed.

Too cute. I wouldn't have the heart to chase them away. They just look so innocent and content on their newly aquired bag of grub.

Opossums do eat rodents in the wild. I used to rehab them and they loved to eat rat pups. I hope they don't mess with your racks. They are so cute.

Yes they do. I had a WC opposum over winter with me last year and she loved mice and young ratlings .

Love those little guys. They actually make good pets. I have a male that I found when he was about that size. I am looking for a female. If your anywhere near La. and would like one removed, let me know.

I wondered if they eat rodents. I think if they could not get any rodent blocks they might try for a live meal. I forgot to look at what sex the one I carried out of the shaving bin by it's tail. The prehensile tail thing is neat. We have had a coach whip come by for a snack. I thought I had a lose one, she found it.
