My baby albino boa died about an hour ago and unfortunately for me there are no reptile vets anywhere near me. If anyone can help me that would be great...she was one of ten...
She had practically no muscle control about half way down her body, however she could curl the last portion of her tail... She was eating everything offered to her, however wasnt wrapping around it as my other baby boa would (I've only had adult boas and ball pythons... I know my baby balls were sometimes clumsy eaters). She would just hold it in her mouth and try to wrap and then swallow. Then yesterday i noticed the lower portion of her body was really puffed up and she looked a little dehydrated. Today she was real puffed and really dehydrated, noticed she was trying to defacate (she just had a few days before) but it was coming out really dark and wet and then there was blood later on. She could barely move at this point and had she survived I would have taken her to the vet tomorrow (unfortunately as we all know these problems always happen when the vet is closed).
I'm really upset and worried for my others. Any help would be great.
