Christmas Has Come Early This Year

This female Pastove (Pastel/ Mojave) was a gift from my good friend Keo.

She sure makes a nice addition to the blushing mojaves that I'm working with.

Knowing Keo this was probably the nicest one in the clutch.

Thanks my friend she is very beautiful.

Wow!
I wouldn't mind having friends so generous.
But...
How can you tell she's a pastel mojave and not just a really nice Mojave like the ones you produce on a regular basis?
I am still kicking myself for selling mine....
To the guy I sold him to, I want him back!

Evan:

How and the heck are you buddy...

You bring up a very good point. Most pastoves don't look much different than pure mojaves, although this little girl seeems to have much more color than most mojaves I've seen in the past.

On top of it's rich gold / yellow coloration it was presented to me as a pastove. So until I prove otherwise I will hope for the best. Since it was a gift it will never be sold.

My goal in posting this thread was to give credit to a very generous friend.

The worst case scenerio would be that she turns out to be just an exceptional mojave. Well that works for me........

I really dont believe that is a Pastel Mojave... It is a sweet Mojave, but it just doesnt have the Pastave look...
I have hatched out quite a few Pastel Mojaves and the one thing that sets them all apart is a really light colored head... I will attach a photo of a female I produced that is a stunner! She looks better than any Pastave that I have produced, but they all have that light head...

Thanks for clarifying that.

There have been some pastoves that I have seen at shows that I honestly coudn't tell the difference between them and a nice mojave.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful animal with us.

Good luck with your 09 season.
