Ctenosaura

coyote12899 Sep 06, 2003 05:58 PM

Hi I am in need of information on wild caught adult Ctenosaura. Like taming tips, feeding tips. If I have my other iguanas in cages in the same room would it be ok for her to have the large bedroom, properly set up as her cage. Anything else you can think of will help. It is a rescue. Thank You

Iguanas are just children with scales and very long tails.

I'm going to suggest keeping her in an enclosure, at least for a while. She is still extremely nervous and flightly and I know that the minute you walk into the room she's going to dive for cover someplace. You will never see her. In an enclosure you will be better able to monitor her eating and pooping habits. I think she'll feel more secure that way ...especially if you give her plenty of hide spots. This girl is going to take a lot of patience.

I am so excited and didn't want to bother you too much. I can keep her in an enclosure no problem. As for patience, I take my igs for walks weather permitting and have a 21 yr. old son. lol. I have been trying to find information on wild igs and not having much luck so I have just been re-reading as much as I can find on taming in gereral.
