vp het hypo hondos?

RandyWhittington Oct 03, 2008 09:59 PM

I had another clutch of all vanishing pattern hondos again this year from the same parents that produced all vanishing patterns last year. Last year I had I think 4 vanishing pattern obvious hypos and about 6 vanishing patterns that appeared to be hets, at least that is what I would consider them since they start out with jet black markings although very reduced. This year she had only one obvious hypo with grey markings and the other 9 were vanishing patterns with jet black markings. In my mind a hypo is reduced black color, appearing grey as opposed to reduced black markings but with the babies from this pair a second year in a row I don't know what to think. I know I would never sell a snake with jet black markings, even though very reduced as a hypo but I think this is another one of those interesting genetic things that have had many of us guessing over the last couple of years. These are two of the most reduced pattern babies in the clutch from this year that still have jet black markings. The flash is too bright in the photos but their markings are as black as black gets.

They look great.....Did you happen to hold one back from last year, I am curious if they developed any tipping?

"The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think. Oh by the way, which ones pink?"

Thanks. I have a couple left from last year and they tip some but not too much. I'll try and get a picture of one of them and post it.

Randy,

Those hets look better than some hypos I've seen. That's a very nice clutch.
