We just got our first snake about a month and a half ago --Albino White sided bull (snow) -- and she is the biggest baby imaginable. She rattled her tale a bit in the first week or so but now it's only when she is feeding. She's never once hissed or struck and all three of our daughters love to hold her (ages 3,6, & 9). She is only a baby snake but there are no indications of any aggressiveness by her... Just a great fun snake. Hope this helps.

I agree! My pits are the most tame snakes I have ever owned! None of mine bite ever, and enjoy being handled, and can be held for hours at a time.
