I am needing to know how big a male red blood needs to be to breed. I have a male that was an early '07 and weighs just over 900 grams is this big enough to breed? Any help or advice would be great.

900 grams is just shy of 2 lbs and I believe that is too small. Sexual maturity is between 18 months and 4 years, but from what I understand the longer you wait the better results. It is suggested to wait for females to breed until they are close to 8 lbs. If I also remember correctly you should wait until they are around 4 feet.
I could be a little off on this. The biggest thing I remember from blood talks is not to rush into breeding too fast as you will have better results with your breeding and clutches with mature animals.
