Oddly Marked Offspring - Opinions Please

paulbuckley Oct 05, 2008 02:08 PM

posted here is the grandmother first, the offspring second, the mother third.

grandma is a 100% albino het. mom is a 50% het albino / 50% het pied (grandma was mated to a very dark 100% het pied). the newborn's father was a clutchmate to its mother and is like mom, a light, high contrast red-ish + tan animal with pronounced head marking. i know the mickey mouse mark is no big deal, but my lighter animals have it very pronounced, with lots of head and neck blushing - and junior here, while not inheriting the blushed out head, has taken the head marking to a new level. he is also so much more yellow and more contrasty than any of my other hets or possible hets this year. no pink or orange on him. only two eggs in this clutch; his brother looks exactly the same.

has anyone seen this before? is this anything? a boy can dream... !

thanks for any feedback. paul

The older female has a nice look, and obvious head pattern. I like the look.

I have a very similar looking adult. The belly on mine looks different, though. Not het for anything as far as I know. Will breed it for the first time this upcoming season and hope for something different. Will try to post some pics later.
