Just playing around

exoticball Oct 05, 2008 04:56 PM

So just the other day I was playing around online and started looking into some rat forums. I found it kind of funny when I seen one that asked what is your rats life expectancy. Then many people listed various numbers of months along with a cause of death.

For example:
31m (ruptured tumour, hemorrhage)
4m (died under anesthesia while undergoing removal of 3"x3" mass from neck/jaw - composition of tumour unknown, suspected lymphatic cancer.)
37 months, suspected liver failure, internal bleeding, tumor. Cause of death was euthanasia.
aprox. 60 months, cause of death unknown.
And so on and so forth.

I wanted to make a post but I knew it would not be considerate to all those rat loving people.

I would have to say: 2-3 months cause of death: HUNGRY SNAKE. LOL!!!

I knew I shouldn't post that there but I figured it would be alright here!!!

Have a good night guys/ gals,

matt

I went on a pet mouse forum once because i needed some information that would be better for the mice and not the snakes. I tried to be vague and "in general" but they stared asking a lot of questions so I left. I know how upset i get when I hear about people hurting snakes, and rodent people probably get the same thing(but with mouse traps), so I didn't want to upset anyone, I just don't post on them anymore.

Matt, I probably would have said the same thing . Although I understand peoples feelings for their pets, snake food is snake food.

Or how bout this as a posting

5-7 days, COD - Baby Baal Python Food

that one would really get them going.

Thanksfully... there is no "known" pet, that rely on snakes as a staple food source.

That is hilarious but there is an animal that eats baby balls its a king cobra. I have seen some people looking for large lots of hatchlings for that simple reason. Although I dont raise cobras but its the cycle of life one minute your the predator the next your prey.
