I need your help, I know it has been discussed in past posts and I would read them and I 'thought' I was taking note but my memory fails me.

My husband and I are about to build an indoor enclosure for our BD. What are the best dimensions for an adult BD (right now he is on the edge of being a juvie/adult. I know a 50 gal is the best size if I was going that rout but we need actual measurements. Or if you have any good sites we can read up on for making a cage that would be really helpful to.

Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

I make my cages for dragons out of 3/4inch melamine white
4 ft by 2 ft internal base
so I cut my wood to
BASE wood, 51.5inch by 24.75inch
TOP wood, 51.5inch by 24.75inch
BACK wood, 48inch by 22inch
I cut risers, 4 of them, 6 inches wide and 22inch high
I cut 2 front bars, 51.5inch by 3inch

start with BASE attach 4 side risers
attach the TOP, nail it all together good
with the 2 front bars, attach then on the top and bottom of the front
I use screen and nail guns to cover the 2 side parts that are open between risers.

With the white melamine iron on strip, I cover the raw wood
I use 1 8ft long 1/4 window bracket, cut it in half, and use 2 1/8inch plexi glass doors to slide side to side.

total cost per cage 80 bucks

Bigger is always better. I use 4' x 2' as a minimum but built the largest enclosure that fits your space. Your dragon will thank you for it.
