Just what are you trying to find out, your post doesn't really make any sence , lol.... Are you saying she's a drummer for a band or something?? Anthony McCain..

Exatly what happened? Is mom dead? How old are pups? How many?

just below her eye theres a small opened wound. i would guess around 13-16 babies! i actually down sized the babies today!

Babies normally do not attack Mom.
Take a close look at Mom's face and around the wound.
Could she possibly have scratched herself raw.....perhaps mites? or rat lice??

Also you side that you down sized, if you simply moved some babies to another female you may way to keep an eye on her as well because if it is mites or some kind of parasite they could travel with the babies. If they are in the freezer I wouldn't be to worried about them spreading. It all depends where they were sent!

is it a wound at all? Remember rats do exude a red fluid that looks like blood but isn't. It can get around the eyes if the eyes get irritated and looks like bloody tears.

Used a damp cotton ball and clean around the eye and see if it comes up or if it is indeed a wound.

Maybe she tried to off herself?? That is a lot of babies to care for. Perhaps the stress was just too much for her.
