ridleyi shedding question

geckoejon Oct 06, 2008 07:31 PM

hello! i got my first pair of cbb hatchling cave dwelling rats about a month and a half ago. they are eating great and growing fast!

here is the part that has me wondering though. the male shed the week i got him and again a couple days ago. the female has not shed since i got them. they are clutchmates and the same size. it kind of has me worried that he has shed twice and she hasn't shed yet. there are no signs of a bad shed that i can see although she does look a little dull. her eyes are clear and have been since i got her.

i'm starting to wonder if she has been unable to shed for some reason. would she still be eating? wouldn't i see signs? i added a moist hide just in case but the male seems to be doing alright without it. thanks in advance for advice and feedback :0)

As long as her setups right and she's eating she'll shed when she needs too.
