Spilotes pullatus - the new additions.

Royreptile Oct 06, 2008 11:11 PM

First of all, I'd like to apologize for the delay. I intended to make a post last weekend, but unfortunately ran into computer trouble which was not resolved until today.

Anyway, here are some quick shots of my 1.1 pair of Spilotes pullatus. I'm really enjoying these snakes thus far, and can't wait to breed them. Both have settled in nicely, and have already accepted a few small meals. The female especially is extremely inquisitive, always rapidly tongue-flicking, and has a tendency to come out and literally climb on me when I open the doors of the enclosure. The male is more reserved, and though he's always observant, he doesn't approach me out of curiosity as the female does. Neither have tried to bite, and I find that they are easily handled so long as I don't make any rapid movements.

I plan on getting some better, fully body shots as soon as possible.
Here's the female:

And here's the male (he's got quite a bit of yellow - I'll get better shots soon):

Nice Roy,
I guess I was confused I thought the female was the higher yellow. They both look very "healthy" lol

Thanks Bill and Nate!
I really need to get some better photographs of them. The yellow does not come across very well.
