H.R. 6311

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h110-6311

We knew this was coming.

I highly recommend you read this bill. Join USARK and/or PIJAC.

This bill says you can legally possess an animal included on the list if you're grandfathered in, but you can't propogate that species, even if for personal use.

According to 4b1B - The burmese python COULD be allowed because the burmese python is already established in the Everglades and that is the only place it could potentially establish itself, so where is the risk? Obviously I'm being sarcastic, but if you really think about it, it's true!

Section 9 - nonmailable matter. Obviously anything listed in this bill would be deemed illegal to mail.

As the government normally does, they've disguised limiting personal rights as a benefit to the American people. Who wouldn't support a bill entitled:
Nonnative Wildlife Invasion Prevention Act

They are preventing DANGEROUS, WILD animals from INVADING the United States and KILLING US ALL!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

My one hope is that, for the government to actually sit down and go animal by animal, it would take a loooooong time to actually complete a list. But I can see them doing that.

The humane society is ALL OVER THIS!

Time for action! Again, JOIN USARK and/or PIJAC!!!

Thomas Jefferson said; " When a government fears the people, there is Democracy. "

However; " When the people fear the Government, there is Tyranny!!! "

Every day, we are loosing more and more of our rights and the sad thing is; " Through Ignorance and Dellusional Fear and Bellies full of Fast Food and T.V. entertaining us and Media Lying through their false teeth, WE ARE GIVING OUR RIGHTS TO THEM! "

We need to take up our arms and put a stop to this and inflict good ole American Justice on these criminals that have destroyed so many lives.

This womb runs deeper than most can or want to imagine.

Thanks, JB.......JJ

Sec 3b8&9 pretty much defines the human specie as far as I'm concerned. Pack your bags. Chris

I saw that. Is this thing for real? Does it really have legs?
Just seems so ridiculous to be credible. Is this the crap we pay our taxes for, for our legislators to waste their time on? Aren't there just far more serious problems staring us in the face right now?

My sources indicate that HR 6311, which kingsnake has been following since it was introduced this spring, is dead and will be replaced by a new bill next year.

Instead of wasting time on this issue people would be better focused putting their energy into meeting with and discussing the issues with your representatives before the 2009 Congress meets.

If we want to defeat issues such as these we need to be careful and follow the processes and procedures in place to defeat these issues, rather than doing things such as starting petitions that have no little to no impact on the process. Going outside the procedures does little more except give the impression that we are a radical self-interest group with no knowledge of how the system works.

I know everyone wants to get fired up but we need to start working smarter rather than harder.
