Thats a killer animal!
Ok All,
How do you distinguish Bimaris from Vertebralis? Thanks.
Take care,
Jeff Port
I'm not Al, but I'll give it a shot. Vertebralis have orange and black dorsal blotches that run the full length of the body, both anteriorly and posteriorly. Bimaris has the black blotches only on the last third of their body or posteriorly(if I'm spelling that right). Two me, they are equally beautiful. There is an arguement to be made(not by me) that bimaris is just the southernmost race of vertebralis. They are both species that I would some day like to work with.

Oh. I guess I am ALL. Thought it said Al. Duh.

Sorry, got it backwards.

how many snakes in that pic you posted? I think I count at least two tails!
Here is an example of relatively "classic" looking forms of these two groups, (vertibralis and bimaris).

you are right 2 tails
rick
That's a lot better way of showing the difference. I was starting to confuse myself.

Thanks everyone for your assistance. The pictures do really help. In my opinion both are equally stunning.
