umbilical cord or?

senorsnake Oct 07, 2008 09:29 PM

I don't even know how to describe this. None of our other neonates have it, something to worry about? He has a bit of problem moving around because of it, but is active and bitey.

Sorry the picture sucks, but it showed what was going on better than the others.

Just checked on him again. The cord broke close to his body, so there is only a bit connected and isn't holding him back anymore. There was a bit of blood in his cage, but he is no longer bleeding and is alert. Is there anything I should watch out for?

Looks like there was an external yolk that has now been seperated. Just watch for bleeding but you already said that has stopped. Normal, after birth, naturlka process of cleaning up and losing those extra bits!!!
