Corey Woods' Red Axanthics Vs. the other 3 lines.....

SNReptiles Sep 06, 2003 09:31 PM

I think it's funny how people never toss-in Corey's Red Axanthics when arguing over the "best" line. In MY OPINION, his line is absolutely stunning. It might not be the best for the snows, who knows, but I think it will make the best DH morph that shows pattern. His line will make the best "true Ghost", T Snow, etc. His line has the same gorgeous black, silver and white the others do, but it also has a unique pattern to go with it. I can't wait to see something special made with this line. Congrats Corey and keep up the good work.

I'm sure many people on the forum (me included) haven't seen his animals. If you posted some pics we could debate the issue.

Why are they called "Red Axanthic"? Do they have more red than other lines? I couldn't really tell from the pictures of hatchlings..

Thanks,
Bristen.

Skip,

Thanks for the kind words! I think the reason why everyone "forgets" about the Red Axanthics is because their are so few of them out their! I've only produced 4 of them of which 3 are still in my collection. The only other person with a Red Axanthic is Ralph Davis who has a male (he got the other male that I produced in 2001). With the mutation originating in 2001 (when I produced them) I haven't had time to create crosses involving the Red Axanthic, although they are in the works. I'm sure once I produce more Red Axanthics as well as designer crosses involving the Red Axanthics and more people get them in their hands they will be appreciated for the true beauty they posses.

Corey
PS To this date all of the animals produced from the Red Axanthic line have stayed in my collection. The only acception to this is the Red Axanthic male which Ralph has. This project will remain a valued one for years to come!

I believe that when you breed my Red Axanthic with an Albino you will produce a snow that will have a red/purple tinge to them. I'm also working on crossing the Red Axanthics into the Pastel, Albino, Pied, Orange Ghost and Banded gene.
