Just recieved a trio of Northern ETB's

rkreptiles Oct 09, 2008 12:19 PM

We just recieved a 1.2 group of Northern ETB's in trade this morning. We traded a 1.0 Lemon Pastel breeder Ball and 3 of his Lemon Pastel daughter from this season for the trio. All three are set up in their new terrairium and are all loving it. All three ate x-small rats within 2 hours of arrival. I normally don't feed this soon with ETB's but they all looked like they were ready. Here is a pic of the 3 of them in their new home.

They look good... Are they wild caught?? Do you plan on keeping them together? One more question... Do you think a few horizontal branches might serve them well?

Yes they are WC but LTC animals. I will be housing them all together. There are a few horizontal branches in their enclosure as well running across the branches that go corner to corner.

Congratulations on your new additions!!
That's a beautiful group of Emeralds!!
I thought I would mention this and if you already know please disregard.
A rule of thumb for determining what size perch to use, is diameter of perch should equal the diameter of the snake. You also stated you do have horizontal perches which is good, but I would add more horizontal perches at different heights. Doing this would allow you to remove the cross perches that you have from bottom corner to top corner. Although the snakes might use them because there are no other options it is not the most suitable perching arrangement. Like I said if you know this already just disregard and have fun with your new Emeralds.
