hatchling cal king feeding

ninj726 Oct 09, 2008 07:18 PM

My first clutch hatched out about a month ago, and I've gotten all but two to eat fine. With the last two, I've tried F/t, live, and split brained and so far nothing has worked. I dont have anything I could use to scent them with. Any advice? When should I consider force feeding? Thanks for your help.

I have two easterns that I have tried everthing with also. I am now force feeding them hindquarters from mice followed by a tail. Seems to work well if I place most of the snake into a water bowl at the last part of the tail. They seem to swallow all down when I do this and do not regerg. If they are healthy you might want to try cooling them off for eight weeks or so. I have heard this works well sometimes and does not stress them out like force feeding. I will probably cool mine off after two more meals and a two week period for them to purge all waste.
