rat water stoppers

exoticball Oct 10, 2008 12:47 PM

I know I know this is a snake forum, but I was wondering if any knows a good company who sells water stoppers (the medel end part to the water bottle)? Or is it easier to just but some thin pipe cut it myself and drop a SS ball in it?

I figured I couldn't ask this on a rat forum because they would want to know why I want so many rats- lets face it even the normal rat lover doesn't want more then 1 or 2 cages of them!

Just thought I would ask.

I had seen the ones on bean farm but I was thinking I can get a whole water bottle at walmart for $2 and could just cut off the plastic fitting to get just the pipe part. I was just hoping to find the parts alone and thought 2.25 was a little high for that.

Any one know of some cheaper?

These people have everything and are a joy to deal with. There is a min order though. If you want ones without balls just the sipper w/ surface tension, I probably have several hundred that I would give you a great deal on. I also have the 16 oz French brown medicine bottles to go with them, you would need new stoppers on some of them. Best wishes Douglas Beard / Flora & Fauna

Google water bottle, rubber stoppers, ...?

metal tube can be used...a friend used copper and aluminum tubing , cut it and shoved it into rubber stoppers for water bottles , he stuck them into Rolling Rock beer bottles..straight tube,,,,,no ball......placed at angle like 45 degrees into top of hommade lab type cage with wood and wire top.....(plastic box, wood frame lid, wire screen mesh )...

..anyways......

google , yahoo....even YouTube different stuff you may be able to watch people making them...YouTube has alot of wierd junk in it...

We also have a feeder forum available for questions about rodent and insect feeders and setup.

Not sure if you are looking for sipper bottle tubes or the non bearing watering systems that uses a single large tank of water to provide water for a rodent rack.

www.agselect.com/ED/Category.cfm?&DID=11&CATID=12

sells the rack drinking valves.
