For a huge iguana cage, a kingsnake cage, and a turtle tank... Don't wanna say what school I attend because it is against the rules, but in my opinion there are far worse rules I could be breaking... gimme a break...

That's cool, but I can tell you from expierience that if you get caught it won't be taken lightly. I was kicked out of a dorm and almost suspended when I was in college, in the early 90's. Granted one of the snakes that I had was young copperhead. Animal control confiscated all of my animals and would only return them if I paid a hefty fine of $550.00, something I couldn't afford, a starving student. They "humanely euthanized"(killed) the copperhead and my texas night snake. The others were a couple small local turtles and an amphiuma, which they released. I don't want to name the school, but it's in SW Louisiana. Now that I'm older, I do see the danger in keeping a venemous snake in a college dorm room, which you are not doing, don't be surprised if the officials there aren't very understanding, should you get caught. They gave unannounced do checks at my school, if you're wondering how I got caught. I wasn't even there at the time. Just some food for thought. Love to see young herp enthusiasts though.

I would agree that keeping a copperhead or any venomous or potentially dangerous (ie. large boid) in a dorm setting is a very poor idea..
I know the animals in question here are harmless, but they are still herps and most people do not understand our hobby or our attraction to these animals.. Back when I was in college they would frequently do unannounced room checks, they would check every room during fire drills, and they would also check every room when we left for holidays. So, I am sorry to say that with the size of that enclosure (which looks great by the way!!)Eventually you will be found out..

They reason I can't tell the school is that my fried is the RA and I have already talked to him about it. He has agreed not to do anything about it himself and if he catches wind of the RD doin' room checks he will let me know. I've had these animals every year in my room up 'til now. I'm a junior now and the size of the cages have had to grow with them. But, I am sure all good things come to an end. I've already come up with an argument. I'm a Biology and Field Biology Major and Chem minor, so I'll just suggest that the "fantastic" education I'm recieving inspired me to take a first hand look at what I'm studying. haha that might work right?
P.S. - def. no venomous...
ps-definately not an excuse. You should know better, no double secret probation for you....When you live with other people you have to be considerate of them. No matter what you or I think of the animals, it makes no difference. Its getting cold, hope you can afford off campus housing and quickly.
Relax... I go to a prvt. school where everyone is over pampered so if/when i get caught they will give me a week to take care of them. I know this because my girlfriend had a bunny last year, my suite mate had a 6 ft. boa and the RA had a kitten. All were "WAY" worse than what I've got. despite the size of the cage he is only about a foot and the snake is 26" so yes still wrong but in no way a safety hazard. and as far as my roommate it was his idea. little optomism.
The RA in my situation knew to, as did 90% of the people in the dorm. He did warn me of two previous checks. That makes me wonder if someone ratted me out. Anyway as you said all good things come to an end, as I'm afraid this one will too. And no, that excuse will not work. They are great set-ups and I'd hate to see you lose them.
