I like your name too. That is a one of a kind Boa.

JMHO, FWIW, YMMV.
I wouldn't call it something else but a real killer anery with outstanding color. Just my opinion.
.. like you to re-name that boa as some other morph.. It simply blows away 90% of all the anery boas I've ever seen.
In fact I have always considered the anerythristic boas to be an unwanted by-product of the snow-race and have never much understood what people see in them (appearance-wise)..
Whatever you call it I hope you make more just like it..

In regards to the "personalizing",or,distinguishing of mutations by giving them a unique name...in this situation the animal in question is exhibiting a known,definable,pre-existing,condition:"anerythrism" (a complete lack of the "red" pigment, not just a reduction of it.also this animal seems to lack the yellow-ish tan that typically creeps in with age,in other strains.)I would call it what it "is" until you can prove this particular form of the condition is,in fact,a distinct, reproducable variation. this will lend a certain credibility, and, acceptance to the naming of your particular "strain" of anerythristic boas. it may take some time of course, but,in the end,you will have the ingredient that many people are looking for, and, you probably won't be able to produce them fast enough to meet the demand for them.(just my personal opinion.)

EVOLVE,OR,DIE...it's not just a good idea...it's the LAW!
I agree with you that the anery you have is extremely awsome but if it isn't genetically differant then you cannot and morally shouldn't call it something else just because of it's appearance... It is like the people calling a clean snake a Pastel to sell it for more money..unless the animal is genetically provable then it is not anything differant.. If I wanted to I could call my hypo a blood red hypo (she has alot of the blood boas characteristics) but I can't and won't call her this...unless when I breed her and her neos show this trait. I hope that anery does prove to be genetic because that would surely help the snow projects. Good luck with it. Later Randy T.

then call it what you want. It is an awesome animal, absolutely stunning. However, if it is not genetic, then it is not a new morph and just another awesome looking anery. We should not create a new name for something that is already out there. If it is not genetic then it does not deserve a new name. Isn't there already enough problems with new names for something that is not new?
Please do not misinterpret my comments. That snake is gorgeous, stunning, and I would love to have it in my collection. New names should be reserved for new morphs. It's already confusing enough and new names for something that is already out there and established just opens the doors of opportunity for those that are less than honest. Those that take advantage of new herpers and scam them.
Just my 2 cents
Richard has a fantastic looking Anery Also, I would get with him and see if the two of you could start a breeding project with them. With the combined genetics of each one, I would say you guys could call them anything you want and still sell them for what ever you asked, that snake is great looking.
Thanks
